Inspiration

Introducing this vibrant pink and red-themed stylish city wedding! Emma & Chris married at The Asylum Chapel with a reception at The Bedford in London. Every aspect of the day was carefully planned to reflect the couple's style. The wedding had live music, and personal readings, and the bride wore white Crocs complete with Shrek Jibbitz. There was also an iconic red double-decker bus for guests. Recommended Supplier, Horseshoe Flowers, provided beautiful pink and red preserved wedding flowers that were stunning! The couple also chose Recommended Supplier, Prezola, for their wedding gift list.

One of our favourite parts of the planning process was finding initial inspiration on Rock My Wedding, so we could see what visually looked good together, then heading to social media to find out more about the suppliers and other weddings they've worked on. It was then down to who we clicked with and who got the vision we were after. We were so pleased we went with everyone that we did as they were all genuinely lovely and so talented.

The Bedford London Wedding

Emma and Chris wanted their wedding to be a true representation of themselves. They desired a laid-back vibe and only invited their closest friends and family. This is why The Bedford in South London was the perfect wedding venue. As the couple live in London, adding that urban city feeling to their day was key! Styling-wise, Emma & Chris wanted something bold and colourful that fed into the intimate party energy. Hence the retro pink and red decor! One extra unique part of this London wedding is that this couple had short video messages in Emma’s bridal speech. One from the manager of a football team Chris supports and one from their favourite musician wishing them well.

Wedding Music and Readings

Emma & Chris LOVE live music and go to lots of gigs together. They wanted all their guests up dancing and singing along with them throughout the evening. The couple are both in agreement that their favourite moment was on the dancefloor. They took a moment to look around at their friends and family, watching them dancing in a big circle and singing along to the band, knowing that they were all there celebrating love. Emma & Chris were both up on people's shoulders, holding hands and also singing along to "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne. During the ceremony, the couple had a reading of an extract from The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman (this one is super popular!).

As music lovers, Emma & Chris’ day included live music and personal messages from their favourite musicians

The best bit of advice we had, and that we're SO glad we stuck to, was stick to what feels right for you. Don't let other people's opinions sway you about what your day should be and make sure you stick to what you want and what feels like the best reflection of you as a couple.
