Inspiration

Chloe & Struan married at The Cowshed in Crail with one of the most incredible day-to-evening transitions we’ve ever seen. No, we’re not just talking about Chloe’s sparkly wedding reception dress change, but the flowers! The couple had traditional white and ivory flowers at the church and colourful seasonal flowers at the wedding breakfast. The vibe was coastal seaside weekend with blue floral bridesmaid dresses and blue wedding shoes! Chloe & Struan chose Recommended supplier, The Wedding Shop, for their gift list. For decor, Chloe & Struan had Recommended supplier, Virginia’s Vintage Hire, on hand!

Our favourite moment is obvious, but walking out the Church doors to a sea of happy, loving faces cheering you on! Holding hands with your soul mate! In your favourite place! Sun shining! Best. Feeling. Ever.

Chloe & Struan

The Cowshed Crail

The vibes of Chloe & Struan's day were fun and coastal. Think seaside weekend away with friends and family! Chloe & Struan had family holidays in St Monans growing up and then weekends away there with friends as they got older. They wanted to recreate that fun weekend-away-in-a-coastal-town feeling that's so special to them. The styling was natural and organic with colourful seasonal flowers and rustic furniture. The day after the wedding, the couple set up a flower shop at The Cowshed Crail. Guests returned for pizza and to make their own bouquets. It was a great way to ensure there was no flower wastage and everyone loved making bouquets.

St Monans Kirk

Chloe & Struan married in their family Church, St Monans Kirk, which sits on the coast and is one of the oldest Churches in Scotland. The ceremony was very special with all their friends and family united in one place that holds so much meaning. Additionally, the flowers were beautiful unique pieces for my day including flower columns decorating the entrance to the church. The couple transitioned from ivory and white in the Church to full colour at the wedding breakfast! It looks amazing! During the ceremony, the couple had multiple wedding readings including Maybe by Anon and 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, 13.

Advice

Stay true to yourself! It's so easy to get influenced as there are so many beautiful weddings to look at online but it's so important that your day feels like you! When choosing our food and drink we were thinking too much about what our guests would want rather than choosing what we liked best. We ended up changing our menu last minute to what we liked best and.. our guests were so happy with the food so I am glad we did.

A coastal wedding needs one thing...a blue colour scheme!

I own an online flower business (Mud Urban Flowers) so I have a lot of friends in the industry that I was so excited to work with on creating our perfect wedding. I loved all our suppliers and would recommend all of them.
