Inspiration

Bows from head to toe and a train fit for royalty, Nikki looked an absolute dream at this Wasing Park wedding! The Recommended venue was the perfect place for both their traditional wedding ceremony in the pastoral church, and Chinese tea ceremony in the Victorian summerhouse with hand painted mural. Talk about the best of both worlds! This multicultural wedding saw Danny's Chinese and Malaysian family come together with Nikki's Indian and Afro Guyanese side for a summer garden party vibe that was full of joy and love, all captured on camera by Recommended photographer Imogen Eve photography. Our only wish? We could have been there. Oh, and that we could cop those incredible shoes and hair bow...

Summer Wasing Park wedding with Chinese tea ceremony and traditional church wedding ceremony.

Favourite moment? For Danny it was the music for the first dance, we had a mix of Elvis (Falling in Love) - the bride's favourite, with a transition into his favourite, Jay-Z & Beyonce (Bonnie & Clyde). My favourite moment was during the reception when our families finally got to mingle and were laughing and playing garden games together on the lawn. Kids were running around like crazy and care free! It felt homely.

STYLE

So. We have to talk about this incredible Vagabond dress. Mesh sleeves, bold dots and a train that just stole the show... Nikki, you've got style! We are also slightly obsessed with her hair bow which just completed the whole outfit. Danny was also looking dapper in a double breasted linen suit and pink floral buttonhole for a pop of colour. Also, paired with those shades he has basically completed the summer groom look. This really was a Wasing Park wedding bursting with style inspiration, don't mind us just taking some extensive notes...

WASING PARK WEDDING VENUE

Having both a traditional church ceremony and Chinese tea ceremony meant Nikki and Danny could honour both their parents, and all at one venue! They also had Wasing Park as their caterer and you only need to look through the photos to see how beautiful the grounds were. Speaking of the grounds, they were perfect for the summer garden party feel and nostalgic romance vibe that Nikki and Danny wanted. The laughter, garden games and flowing drinks made this an event the happy couple and guests will never forget!

A bold hair bow is a great way to take your bridal hair to the next level.

Don't stress about the little details or try to please everyone, focus on creating a day you and your partner will want to remember the feeling of when you look back on your photos. Enjoy every moment of the day for yourselves and get drunk! (If you drink).
