Is a wedding cape a necessity? Some may so no, some may say yes… some may say look at Kristina in her Recommended Supplier, Halfpenny London wedding cape and make your decision. The outcome? You’ll most probably want one. So, as we sit here swooning, let’s dive right in! Kristina & Nick originally planned to marry in the French Alps, but Covid (cheeky little minx), had other ideas. Deciding to marry by Brighton seafront, their day was all about friends, family, vibrancy, and shunning wedding traditions! With a DJ provided from Recommended Supplier, BPM Events, and flowers from Recommended Supplier, Dove & Myrtle, we absolutely adore the relaxed and care free vibes. Complete with seafront couples portraits you don’t want to miss!

Wedding cape from Halfpenny London

Our day felt special and unique to us because we didn't really care about any wedding traditions, we just wanted a bright vibrant care free day with the people we loved. Getting married right by the Brighton Seafront (our home and a place we love so much) couldn't have been better.

FINDING SUPPLIERS

Lots of Googling and Instagram stalking! We used services like Rock My Wedding to narrow down a shortlist, but turned to places like Instagram to get a real feel for what the suppliers could offer. Zuza from Whole Lotta Love Weddings was the DREAM planner. She just got what we were wanting to create and found the most amazing people to help make our dream day into a reality.

VIBE

Bright, fun, relaxed and a little mad. We wanted the space to feel like an escape and not too serious. Green and pink were the core colours but there were flashes of sequins, reds, blues, golds - just really vibrant and luxurious without feeling stuffy and too ‘done'. My wedding nails were one of my favourite details of the day. Beth from BW nails had the idea to match a French Tip to the colour of Nick's suit and it looked INCREDIBLE.

Croquembouche in replacement of a traditional wedding cake? Always a good idea.

Do it the way YOU want to. Everyone is going to have opinions and you'll get pressure about the most bizarre things, but just remember that at the end of it all, it's your day. Also, don't take it too seriously. It's a big party and everyone is there to celebrate you and your love. Regardless of how strong people's opinions are in the run up to the day, when you get there, they're just going to be so thrilled to have been involved.

Now thinking about your wedding cape? We do NOT blame you. The most incredible and chic addition! Take a look at this incredible Lanvin wedding gown, complete with ruffles for days! Or how about this tasselled number at Loft Studios London? So, if you’re thinking about it… we say do it! A decision you won’t regret…
