What Made Our Day Unique

The weekend was about bringing everyone we loved to one place. The meeting and mixing of families and friends was the whole inspiration behind our wedding. We are so lucky to have such fantastic families and friends and it was so special watching everyone meet and putting faces to names and stories. We couldn't have put the day together without them either. My uncle Johnny wrote and conducted the whole wedding ceremony - he'd never done it before and he absolutely smashed it. The ceremony was very unique to us, it was light hearted but meaningful and was the perfect start to the day. Liam's sister Beth made us the most delicious wedding cake and cup cakes. Liam's family were up at the crack of dawn icing and decorating 150 cup cakes before the ceremony! Our parents were so kind and did so many supermarket runs and last minute dashes.

Inspiration & Styling

We just wanted the day to be really relaxed and for everyone to enjoy themselves. The styling was more of a last minute thought and was actually all down to Natalie, our amazing florist! She had such a great vision and worked tirelessly to bring it all together. And our friends and too, we had so many wonderful people arrive on Friday to help set everything up - laying the tables, arranging the ceremony area, collecting pine cones and ferns. One groomsman even cut 150 ferns to size! But the venue and setting itself was just so stunning that we didn't need to do too much. Katy and Scott from Happy Valley worked incredibly hard to transform the barn and site beyond what we could have imagined. The first time we saw the barn it was a working cattle barn. Simple things like festoon lighting made it feel so magical.
