Italian wedding inspiration at Lake Trasimeno with a custom bespoke bridal gown, bow details and stormy skies, celebrating female craftsmanship this International Women’s Day.
We had a HUGE storm on the day, which wasn’t forecast! All the tables were set up outside, and 10 mins after the ceremony, we had hailstones and lightning, which went on all day. During what should have been the reception drinks, we had ourselves and 60 guests sheltering in a kitchen! A lot of aspects didn't go to plan, but helped make it more memorable!
As a bespoke bridal dressmaker and alterations seamstress, I wanted as many aspects of our wedding to be as personal as possible! I made both my own dresses, the flower girls’ dresses, my mum’s dress and various finishing touches.
