Wedding Weekend Celebrations at The Bodleian Library

From a grand Oxford church ceremony to a lively Walima filled with music, colour, and culture, this two-day wedding celebration blended elegance with vibrant tradition.

Our wedding weekend was a fusion of two cultures over a weekend. The first day was a traditional church wedding with choral music, which is very important to both of us. It was also very special to us to get married in Oxford, where we first met as students. The second day was an Indian Walima, where we all wore our finest Indian outfits and ate some amazing food.
The most magical moment for us both was the arrival of the bride at Keble. With the choir and organ performing Parry's I Was Glad, this created a sense of anticipation and excitement, with the musical climax coinciding with Hannah's arrival at the altar. It was the first time we had seen each other on the day, and a special moment, especially for Hannah's father.
