To make dinner interactive, we chose one guest at each table to be the “chef.” Equipped with a chef’s hat and apron, they carved and served a sharing feast—we love hosting family-style. This icebreaker was a hit, especially when all the “chefs” joined together to sing “Simply the Chefs” to the tune of Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best”—a moment we’ll never forget.
Our advice is to enjoy the process! Romanticise this time. We took our time between engagement and the big day (2.5 years), and that meant we could plan slowly and enjoy it. Not stressing about budgeting or saving. Remember, the goal is to marry the love of your life!
