Our wedding day was just as beautiful as I had always imagined. We only invited our closest and dearest which helped us relax and enjoy every moment with our guests. We invited guests from all over the world some of whom spent the night before the wedding at the venue. Everyone was relaxed and had so much fun.
Viktoria & Jose
Set the scene; It's mid-September in the Cotswolds and South African groom Jose is about to marry his Bulgarian bride Viktoria. They take full advantage of the gardens and exchange vows outside. The ceremony culminates in the couple embracing Bulgarian wedding traditions by kicking over the bucket to see how many children they'll be blessed with. They continue the traditions at their rustic barn reception where they break bread over their heads to see who will be the dominant partner in the relationship. It's funny, it's heartfelt and it's unapologetically them. We love to see it.
Many couples say this, and we're big advocates of it too - don't forget to take time out on your wedding day, just the two of you. One way you can do this is during your couples portraits with your photographer. Golden hour is incredibly romantic, and even more so when you are wearing a sparkly wedding dress that glistens in the sunlight. Ensuring the dress sparkled into the reception, the couple hired a neon wedding sign that said 'Happily Ever After' and danced under thousands of fairy lights. Magical. And to keep the party vibes going, a live saxophonist.
The venue was stunning and I couldn't be more thankful to all suppliers who helped make this day so special. We had so much support and love from them, which truly helped us focus on what's important. Don't stress about things not going as planned. None of your guests know about your plans, so they won't notice. Breathe, smile, and enjoy.
