I don’t have the words to say how much we are blessed to have found James! We found him from a recommended list from our wedding venue and visited his website and WOW! We absolutely loved the look of his work and thought for sure he would produce some amazing pictures of our day. And we weren’t wrong! Not only is James Merricks photography incredible but he is such a lovely man. He helped the whole day run smoothly with knowing exactly what needed to be done and what moments he knew we would want capturing. James helped with herding guests for photos and his calming presence helped us both stay relaxed and enjoy every moment. James knows how to merge into the scenery and capture just the most AMAZING candid moments. And if you struggle to know how to pose like my other half - he knows all the tricks of the trade to get some perfect shots. Couldn’t recommend him enough!

From doing some research on wedding photographers I knew from the second I stumbled across James' website he was the one we wanted for our wedding! Absolute legend! If your reading these reviews your probably trying to decide who to book for one of the biggest days of your life. Well your in luck. You’ve found the perfect photographer and you can stop looking and start booking. Firstly James is an absolutely stand up guy and is so nice and friendly that having him form part of your day is a pleasure having him about. Secondly, he specialises in capturing natural shots. James will take you away for a few special shots and a couple of group shots but allows you to get on with enjoying your day. The upside to that is the material he gets are some of the best shots you can ask for. Finally, the finished product you get is nothing short of exceptional. You really hope the pictures you get back capture the day as you see it. As you can see from myself and everyone else’s reviews, you won’t go wrong with James.

From the moment we stumbled across James we fell in love with his work. We loved his fun, natural & relaxed style. Our photos have absolutely blown us away! James has managed to capture some amazing and natural moments for us to treasure. James was amazing both in the run up but also on the day. Well, where do I start?! There's lots I can say about James Merrick Photography... We booked James for our May wedding back in January 2021 and spent the next year and a half fawning over his work at other weddings. I remember saying to my now husband, "If we can adore the photos of stranger's weddings as much as we do, just imagine how we'll feel about a gallery of our own special day." And James, undoubtedly, did not disappoint! Having now received our final gallery we are in absolute awe at what James has been able to create - truly images that we will treasure for a lifetime. James's work really does speak for itself but on top of his artwork, James is friendly, approachable and a literal ghost - he managed to capture every single moment of our day yet my husband and I both said the day after that we barely recall seeing him! James is an absolute pleasure to work with and we are so grateful to him for capturing our day so beautifully.
