FAQS
How would you describe your style?
I take a documentary style approach and photograph the day by being as unobtrusive as possible. My aim is to photograph you, your family and all of your guests having a fantastic time without imposing myself on what’s happening while also making sure I capture all the details which make your day unique. The most important thing for me is that when you look back on your wedding day photos you feel like you’re reliving a personal memory, and not my version of it. I’ll never tell you what to do, and instead focus on all the moments (big and small!) which will unfold naturally. I’d like to think of myself as a guest with a camera so when someone at a wedding asks me ‘How do you know ___ and ___?’ it’s truly the best compliment I could receive. We'll also set aside a small pocket of time to get some photos of just the two of you when the light is at its best. I'll give you minimal direction/posing for these and capture your personalities to the best of my ability. I don't want to keep you away from your wedding guests (or the delicious canapés and drinks!), so I normally keep these to between 15-20 minutes so I can carry on capturing everything else that’s happening. It’s really important to me that I don’t impose myself on the day because I can get the best photos when you’re fully present having a great time with everyone that’s there.
Will you still take formal photos of us and our families?
Absolutely! I am more than happy to take these for you too, and have actually taken them at every wedding I have photographed. We would work together on a list of the ones you want to take and ask one of the groomsmen or bridesmaids to help with rounding up the necessary people. I always suggest doing these right after the ceremony so that you can enjoy the rest of your day without worrying about when they will be taken. These normally take me 15-20 minutes.
How do I book you, and how many photos will I get?
Get in touch and I'll reply with my full pricing .pdf, a few full galleries and an invitation to arrange a video chat so I can hear more about what you're planning. If you'd like to go ahead, a £300-£500 deposit and a contract secures the date. I'll be back in touch about two months before the wedding to schedule a catch-up, and you can expect your final gallery with 300-500+ photos no later than six weeks after the wedding day.
How long will you be there on my wedding day?
That's entirely up to you! While some might want me there until 2am, eight hours might suit you best. If you’re planning a smaller wedding, then two hours might be just right. No matter how long I am at your wedding, I will be working my socks off to provide you with your dream photos. We will collaborate on any creative ideas you might have and I will incorporate them into my documentary-style approach.
What's your favourite TV show?
It's a tie between Peep Show, Chernobyl and Sex & The City (yes, you read that right!) My other half and I binged all six seasons during the first lockdown.
