Inspiration

If you're looking for barn wedding flowers inspiration you've come to the right place. Or if wedding stationery is your jam this is also a good spot. Oh, and if you like 'make your own' gin bars we've got that covered too. And ice cream canapés... Okay, basically Kerry & Sean have really outdone themselves when it comes to wedding details, and we are pretty much obsessed with all of it! The big day took place at Recommended venue The Tythe Barn and was planned to perfection by Joely from Recommended stylists Ambience Venue Styling. It was all captured by Recommended photographer Poppy Carter Portraits, and oh boy are there some good shots! But we won't ruin the surprise, take a look for yourself...

Incredible barn wedding flowers for outdoor wedding ceremony at The Tythe Barn.

Having a few private minutes to ourselves right after the ceremony to really soak-in the moment as husband and wife was magical, and our first dance to Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud played by the band The McKeens really set the tone for a good night of celebrating!

BARN WEDDING FLOWERS

There are wedding flowers and then there are Kerry & Sean's barn wedding flowers from The Flower Shed Oxford. From the hanging installation they tied the knot under to the clouds dotted around their wedding breakfast, their florals were pretty much out of this world. Kerry always dreamt of having a big bouquet and she was not disappointed! The flower of the day was South Africa's national flower the protea, a nod to Kerry's heritage and a unique personal touch. Also, if you've never seen a hexagonal flower bomb then now is your chance. Don't mind us, just starting our 'shapes we never knew could be flower bombs' Pinterest board...

DETAILS

From the 'make your own' gin bar to the gold polaroid photo boards there was no detail overlooked by Kerry & Sean. They found all their suppliers through Instagram by looking through wedding planning hashtags and barn style venues, and their dream was brought to life. The bridesmaids wore dusky pink dresses which matched the barn wedding flowers, especially the pink proteas which really popped. The groom and groomsmen's ties and pocket squares were also on theme, matching the ribbon of Kerry's bouquet. We can't help but applaud the creativity and coordination here!

SIGNS & STATIONERY

The signs and stationery were a sight to behold. Frosted acrylic surrounded by barn wedding flowers? Check. Chalkboard order of the day sign? Present. Sage green stationery with wax seals? You betcha. Even their confetti was beautifully designed! Kerry and her bridesmaids also had personalised flutes for their wedding prep, a lovely momento for your squad. The groomsmen weren't to be left out as they had personalised hip flasks for a pre wedding tipple. We're willing to bet our hat no detail was overlooked at this wedding! (and we really love our hat...).

Having a colour based theme is a great way to make sure all your wedding decor flows.

As difficult as it may be at times, our advice to other couples would be to not let the stress of planning get to you and dim the excitement and happiness of marrying the one you love! Everyone is going to have an opinion on how you should do things and what type of wedding you should have, remember that it's your wedding and you're the most important people, so make sure the day is your absolute dream and everything you could have hoped for!
