Welcome to Heather and Tom's Tythe Barn Wedding, a rustic recommended venue we just love! Adorned with twinkling fairy lights, tastefully scattered with pampas grass and a celebration of the cutest bride and groom you ever did see. Of course we're talking about the two alpacas... but it was Heather's boho dress that stole the show, paired with celestial hair accessories that have sent us to another world. We're both obsessed with animals so we had an alpaca bride and groom to entertain the guests and take pictures with us! We also named the tables after all of our favourite animals. We just wanted to incorporate all the things we love, to make our day unique to us.
DIY BOHO DECOR
The aesthetic of their Tythe Barn Wedding was Boho Luxe, with a gorgeous dreamy rose, neutral and gold palette. Heather designed all the stationery, decor and denim jacket herself. We're in awe of her amazing DIY skills! Especially the handprinted flowers on the jacket that matched the real blooms from the big day. Speaking of blooms, the rose and pampas grass floral arrangements are the epitome of Boho Luxe, serving all the rustic romantic feels at this beautiful wedding.
VIBES AND INSPIRATION
As they're both big Buffy fans, it made perfect sense that Groom Tom would do a reading entitled 'You're The One' from an episode. If that wasn't enough Buffy for you, their first dance was to 'Wild Horses', a song from the hit 90s show covered by The Sundays. Alongside that, as Heather is Scottish, they had bagpipes throughout the ceremony and the reception was part traditional Ceilidh. Heather and Tom have proved your day should be about what you love. Whether that's alpacas, Scotland or vampires, it's your day to enjoy!
Don't be afraid to have fun and try DIYs for your wedding. It's a great way to bring your personality and style to the big day, and learn a new skill on the way. What's not to love?
One of my favourite moments at our Tythe Barn Wedding was Tom's face when he first saw me. We both welled up with happiness, Tom with tears too. I couldn't get to him quick enough.
