When you think of a city wedding, you think of glamour, party vibes, and fashion! This inspiration featuring Constellation Ame gowns by Recommended bridal designer, perfectly portrays this image, with satin bridesmaid dresses, embellished bridal gowns and a tea party on the lawn. There is also an abundance of white florals, cakes and accessories thrown in for good measure. What more could a girl want?! Oh, a groom in a tuxedo and a drinks trolly you say... Our vision was to create an elegant bridal afternoon tea party for brides in their fancy dresses to sip bubbles and eat cake.
City Wedding
We shot at the Winchester House Club in Putney, which features a ballroom and a stunning garden along the river Thames. Whilst the team were setting up the venue, we walked to Putney Bridge to capture the couple overlooking the river to give a true London city vibe then walking along the blissful river. The venue has two gardens, so we shot half the day inside and then half outside. The front grand gate walks you down a lovely pathway full of florals against the stunning old building. It was a lovely space for a wedding party and guests.
Setting
We shot several looks to share how beautiful the venue and area is and to inspire future couples getting married. The main look was the bridal afternoon tea party in the garden. We set up the wedding party having bubbles and cheers by the fireplace in the ballroom featuring the bride, groom, and bridesmaids sitting on luxurious furniture. Later, the brides sat around eating cake and sipping bubbles surrounded by a lovely floral display in the garden.
Constellation Ame
The style was modern and minimalist, ideal for brides looking a classically chic look. The Constellation Ame dresses are made in luxe silk or laid-back crepe, vintage feel laces and luxe sequins. The inspiration was to show the versatility of dress styles, from silk wraps to silk and sequin-mixed evening dresses.
Accessories
Bridal accessories and heels were from small London brands to stay in tune with the London designed-and-made theme. Elegant hairstyles featured delicate accessories, along with makeup that was effortlessly relaxed to keep in line with the modern and relaxed feel.

Shooting at Winchester House was very special to us as we have lived in Putney for eight years and got married there four years ago. It was lovely to go back to where our marriage first began and shoot our bridal and bridesmaid brand at such a sentimental place. One of our models also got married wearing a Constellation Ame gown.
