LGBTQIA+ Croatia wedding with two brides in lace wedding dresses

Karen & I come from two different parts of the world, raised with two very different cultures, heritages and traditions. Our wedding day was unique as it blended both our cultures and wedding traditions. We celebrated it with two ceremonies. Both ceremonies represented our journey as a couple, incorporating traditions and ideas we both value and stand for.

Karen & Gargi

Croatia Wedding

Karen & Gargi's first ceremony at their Croatia wedding was by the beach, and it was jaw-dropping! They wanted the beauty of their venue and location to shine through, so they incorporated lots of neutral colours, including pampas grass-dried flower arrangements. We have never seen an aisle (which looks like it is floating in the sea) like it. They say their I do's during a celebrant-led ceremony framed by a moon gate. If you don't Pin this, we'll be surprised!

Hindu Ceremony

Now on to Karen & Gargi's second ceremony. A spectacular Hindu/Indian ceremony featuring as many colours, textures and lights as possible. Picture fairy lights and lanterns, wicker baskets and rugs, and floral arrangments in vibrant red, pinks, yellows and oranges. It's a feast for the eyes and beautifully represents Karen & Gargi as a couple. The colourful decor and details continued at their al fresco reception, with floral installations, taper candles and string lights.

We've fallen for the colourful wedding flowers, taper candles & wicker lampshade reception decor.

Our favourite moment of our wedding was seeing our family and friends coming together to celebrate us. Our families met for the first time and welcomed each other. Everyone was happy dancing and mingling together. It was the joy we dreamt of for such a long time. A true highlight was the speeches!! It melted our hearts to hear the love our family has for us. They have supported and been on our journey with us, individually and as a couple.
