What Made Your Day Unique
We didn't really follow the traditional rules. We had a late ceremony, fed our guests pizza, popcorn and poutine and held the entire thing in a converted warehouse in the city we'd lived in for over three years. We both wanted the day to be personal to us so we tried to include all the things we love (like lots of food, wine and tattoos!). Our favours were temporary versions of some of our own tattoos and it was amazing to see everyone covered in them by the end of the night!
Inspiration & Styling
Because we wanted the day to be so personal to us, we wanted the styling to reflect who we were as a couple. We chose a converted warehouse with exposed brick walls because it reminded us so much of our first apartment together in Leeds and just added our own special touches. It was perfect and was also big enough to have all our friends and close family there with us.
Favourite Moment
It's so hard to pick just one favourite moment but I'd say the ceremony itself was one of the highlights for us. Everyone always says that's the boring part but it was such a special moment and we couldn't stop smiling! We also had two of our friends perform readings during the ceremony which meant so much to us. The whole thing just felt surreal (and it was the beginning of an epic day and night!). Emma captured it all perfectly! the BEST photographer we could’ve ever asked for.
