Inspiration

You may remember Maria and Danny from their romantic elopement last year, and now they're back with a lace and tulle wedding dress you won't be able to forget. The train. The neckline. The absolute drama of it all is giving us all the good vibes, and that's before we've even started looking through the ceremony shots! The love is tangible, the rustic decor is serving and those rose petal cupcakes are making us kind of hungry... It was all shot by Recommended photographer Cat Stephens who has perfectly captured the joy of these two and all their loved ones. So sit back, relax and enjoy every detail of this Cotswold countryside wedding!

Cotswolds wedding with lace and tulle wedding dress.

Our day was an intimate wedding celebration with close family and friends as we had eloped the year before! This gave us the freedom to write our own wedding ceremony script that was conducted by our very good friend. We were also able to write our own vows without any legal wording which made it so much more personal.

LACE TULLE WEDDING DRESS

The vibe was rustic shabby chic, and Maria's lace tulle wedding dress was the perfect gown. (Less shabby, more chic). The incredible train has stopped us in our tracks, and the pastel florals from her bouquet has us dreaming of Summer days. The attention to detail of the decor was also unmatched. From the world map seating plan to the drink me tags on the wine decanters, this was a wedding full of fun! Whether you wanted to pimp your prosecco or have candyfloss in your bubbles, it was all possible at this magical day. Maria and Danny, we must admit, you do know how to throw a good party...

CEREMONY

Maria walked down the aisle in that amazing lace and tulle wedding dress to an instrumental of Turning Page by Sleeping at Last (Twilight fans, we see you). They then left to Send Me On My Way by Rusted Root (Ice Age lovers, welcome). And the absolute joy, tears and smiles that Cat captured throughout the ceremony makes us think these were pretty good choices. The bride and groom both read their own handwritten vows as they had already officially tied the knot, with the room in tears. If this isn't a sign you should elope and throw a second wedding too, we don't know what is?

Writing your own vows is a beautiful way to share your love in front of your family and friends.

Our favourite moment was our ceremony! My mother was too emotional to read her poem so my autistic father had to read it for her which was a very moving moment as he doesn’t do well in crowds. Our photos show how much love was in the room that day.
