Inspiration

Tom & Ben's autumnal wedding day at Recommended venue, Hidden River Cabins has the most incredible colour palette! One of the most important things to them was ensuring they had an LGBTQ photographer that could not only capture incredible moments but make the couple feel comfortable too! Tom & Ben entrusted Recommended supplier, Esme Whiteside Photography with the task. Their special day was about celebrating their love with their immediate family and closest friends. They started with an intimate morning all getting ready together!

Do what is right for you two, you don't need to do all the cliché formality of a wedding day or all the aesthetic details. It's about celebrating your love with your loved ones. People are happy as long as they're fed and there's a drink. There's nothing worse than being hungry and knowing there are long speeches on the way. Let go of the frustration, if any guests back out during the run-up to the day, it was meant to be for whatever reason. Lastly, enjoy the day and try to take in as much as possible!

LGBTQ Photographer

For Tom & Ben, having the right photographer for their day had been a big requirement for them. They wanted someone who told the story, captured those beautiful moments and gave it all real feeling. As well as being LBGTQI+ friendly, so Tom & Ben felt comfortable, Esme delivered on all the above. They found Esme on Rock My Wedding's Recommended suppliers where we have a ton of incredible photographers to cater for any style or vibe you're looking for. Sophie, the florist, was given full creative freedom over the flowers and made some stunning pieces for the day!

Autumn Wedding

Autumn was the inspiration behind Tom & Ben's stunning day, it's the time of year that they love. The deep rich tones of autumn mixed so well with the cosy cabin by the river and the woodland in the background. Throughout the day, Tom & Ben went through the decades with their music choices. They started with 1920s music, so by the evening (after the first dance), they went straight into Motown all the way to now. That was one of the great things about having the cabin for their venue. The couple could party on back there until whenever and not the usual midnight finish.

A cosy cabin wedding venue for an autumnal day is a no-brainer!

Esme (our LGBTQ photographer), Sophie (our florist) and Hidden River Cabins (our venue) deserve the biggest shout-out for their communication throughout the entire run-up to the day. They all added to the day being such an incredible, relaxing, and fun time.
