Minterne House wedding with a romantic Valentine’s pink and red theme

It’s so hard to pick a favourite moment, but we would have to say German Jukebox, the marching band. We handpicked songs for them to play and they surprised our guests after the wedding speeches and led them to the lawn for our evening switch-around. We were conscious that after the food and speeches, there is often a bit of a lull between the evening, so we were desperate to avoid that. The band were incredible and continued the party ready for the evening DJ.

Minterne House

Robyn & James’ Minterne House wedding was a Vogue Valentine’s extravaganza. The couple had a red and pink theme throughout the day from the table linen, to the cocktails to the carousel horses! If there’s one thing you should know about this stunning couple, it’s that they love things bold whilst still keeping things classic. Minterne House was the perfect venue because they gave the couple free rein to create their perfect day. Making people relaxed, intrigued and excited throughout the entire day was super important to the couple. This was achieved through small details like personalised cocktails and menus, a wedding logo, and custom guest-drawn faces on the placemats. What made it truly unforgettable was Robyn’s two jaw-dropping bridal looks. That reception dress change is something else!

There is so much advice on do’s and don’t’s when it comes to wedding planning that it becomes a minefield between what you should traditionally do and what you want to actually do. Our best advice would be to make sure you’re doing whatever you want, even if this means taking out some of those traditional aspects of the day that just aren’t your cup of tea.
