With Spring fast-approaching (yay), we’re coming at you with this sky blue and pink wedding! Lauren & Courtney decided to finally celebrate with their family & friends after their original 30 person wedding during the pandemic. Wanting a relaxed, fun, and festival vibe, their day included plenty of colour, on-site accommodation (for that late night party), and their cavapoo, Twiglet! Who looked positively chic in her flower crown, created by Go Botanica. We also love Lauren’s change of gown, so she can dance the night away in something a little more comfortable.
Sky blue and pink wedding
After doing our 30-person church wedding in London whilst restrictions were on in May, this was a chance to finally celebrate with our friends and family in style - our best friend, Sarah, did an amazing ceremony under the floral arch, accompanied by drinks, sunshine, beautiful readings, a brass band, and our little Cavapoo, Twiglet, walking down the aisle.
SUPPLIERS
We booked most of our suppliers way back in 2019 when we first got engaged and had lots of time to create Pinterest boards, research online, through Instagram and word-of-mouth recommendations. Once we chose them, we did look on Rock My Wedding to see reviews and further features of the suppliers we'd gone for.
FAVOURITE MOMENT
Our family friend, Stephen, kindly drove us (the bride and bridesmaids) in his blue VW camper from Hove and up from the carpark in his Defender (to avoid the mud) to the ceremony. Our friends, Izzy & Jamie, performed an acoustic version of Halo by Beyoncé for the aisle walk. We have so many favourite moments, the post-dinner sunset, dancing and epic bonfire, right by the lit up tipis, was magical.
We are just loving the bridesmaids floral blue dresses!
A little advice… keep calm and carry on! The day itself goes so fast. After all the love, care and detail that's gone into it, ensure you soak it all up… including the tasty food!
