Inspiration

Beth & Hannah's woodland wedding at The Dreys is a complete boho fairy fantasy. Both brides were in stunning boho lace wedding dresses and decided to decorate their venue with rugs, throws, dried flowers and plenty of autumnal colours. Including those orange bridesmaid dresses and gorgeous bouquets. Capturing, this magical day were Recommended suppliers, Kirsty Mackenzie Photography and Rebecca Carpenter Photography. Completing the bridal looks with stunning makeup, was Recommended supplier, Astons Makeup and Beauty.

The Dreys woodland wedding

It might be stressful, but everything is worth it on the day! Also, make sure to plan a moment on the day to catch your breath with your partner. Our wedding planners took us to their ‘Secret Bar’ after the ceremony at The Dreys whilst the photographers organised everyone for the confetti shots. It gave us a moment to let everything sink in and to have a couple of minutes to ourselves.

The Dreys Wedding Venue

Beth & Hannah wanted their day to be as relaxed as possible. They are both very outdoorsy so The Dreys woodland setting was perfect for them! The rustic setting and furnishings give a very bohemian vibe! The couple liked that they could camp and sit around a fire in the evening. It made their day feel like a festival. The venue staff and The Wedding Dolls coordinators ensured the day ran seamlessly. They styled the venue with Persian rugs and throws, alongside the florists, Sue and Jo, who arranged beautiful autumnal flowers including roses, dried flowers and sprigs of foliage to give that Boho vibe! What’s better than one bride, but TWO? Especially ones that wear Doc Martens and Converse. Talk about stylish bridal looks.

Finishing Touches

The wonderful wedding coordinators, The Wedding Dolls, managed the walks down the aisle like a military operation with earpieces. Their close supervision allowed Beth & Hannah to walk down the aisle one after the other without seeing each other or having the guests see them - which was tricky in an open field! Some of the couples' fave moments were walking down the aisle separately with their dads and Hannah's mum and her best friends giving a surprise performance in the evening. Beth & Hannah's favourite film to watch together is ‘Mamma Mia’, so her mum and her friends got into their glitzy costumes and platform boots and performed 'Super Trooper' by ABBA just like the film!

An ABBA performance is always welcome at any party we go to!

After we found the venue and photographer through various wedding websites, we then used their Instagram account to source suppliers. We found suppliers who previously worked at The Dreys and got in touch with them! Kirsty, our photographer, also had a very handy supplier list on her website! We also attended The Mobile Pizzeria’s tasting event where we found the Luxestar photobooth. We booked our band after seeing them at an event and thinking they were awesome!
