What Made Our Day Unique
It was really special to find a venue where our family and friends could relax and enjoy being together, including those with kids. We loved that our venue was environmentally sustainable and in a nature reserve – it’s really important for us to be eco-friendly! We wanted everyone to feel welcome and enjoy themselves, so we had a kids’ corner, a photo booth, a ceilidh band, and a silent disco! We secretly learned choreography for our first dance, and surprising our guests with that was so fun. We also named our tables after the characters of our favourite TV show, Brooklyn Nine-Nine!
Unplugged Wedding Sign
The couple wanted the guests to be present at their wedding with no distractions, so they placed an unplugged wedding sign outside the entrance. It's a great way to gently remind guests to turn their phones off so they are able to just enjoy the ceremony and share the special moment with the beautiful couple!Inspiration & Styling
We wanted to have a wedding that embraced the festive spirit of the time of year (we got married just a few days before Christmas) – without it being too strongly themed. As our venue was a working farm, we also wanted wildlife and nature in our styling. Our wedding planner created a colour palette that included rich, wintery colours like burgundy, navy, and deep green, but also had some lovely soft elements in grey, coral, blush, and dusty blue. We opted for uncovered, rustic trestle tables and textured, coloured napkins, with a mix of high and low floral arrangements.
