Timeless Monochrome Stylish Wedding
Alisha & Jake wanted a timeless wedding theme that they could look back on and still love in all the years to come. The couple asked their guests to wear all black with no patterns or other colours within the outfits. Men were asked to wear tuxedos complete with bow ties. Everyone dressed to the nines and looked incredible! To match this black and white monochrome theme, the flowers were mixed with black and white preserved foliage and flowers, and the cake was a Lambeth white heart cake. Alisha & Jake’s goal was to ensure the wedding looked like it came right out of a magazine, and it definitely feels that way with the luxe styling and guest fashion!
The Highlights & Supplier Shout-Outs
Out of all the suppliers, Alisha & Jake were really at a loss for words for their wedding band. They were incredible, and everyone adored them. Alisha actually found them in Canterbury, where they were busking on the street singing Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac. Alisha approached them then and there and asked if they'd done weddings before. Alisha said, “I am so incredibly lucky they joined us on our day. THANK YOU SOUTH BY ZERO!” The bride also wanted to shout out her dress designer and our lovely Recommended Supplier, Story of My Dress, who made the process of designing a bespoke wedding dress and veil so easy and the experience was seamless.
It's so hard to choose a favourite moment when the entire day was so special, but if we had to choose one moment, I think I would choose the moment after the ceremony when we'd just completed our confetti throw and the champagne and canapes had started to flow, and the band were playing. I loved seeing our guests dancing together in the sun to live acoustic music, it was incredible; it was like time had stopped still, and everyone was smiling and enjoying themselves.
