Stone Barn

We’ve both had quite a journey to get to this point in life, with lots of heartbreak, personal loss and growth on the way. Being comfortable in our skin as two gay women has taken courage. The joy we and our guests brought to our day was palpable, everyone was just so happy for us because love is love.
Our advice would be to relax but do sweat the small stuff if it matters to you. Try to pause to enjoy the build-up. The details matter, and, even though they seem minor when things start to get stressful, persist and stay organised as you’ll look back and be glad you did those extra little bits that felt important. We paused in the few weeks before the wedding and reflected on everything and how grateful we felt going into the big day. This helped us keep perspective. Also, we had a wine and cheese night and collated our Spotify playlist for the evening, that was also a nice moment of downtime amongst the build-up.
