What Made Our Day Unique

We actually got married at a registry office two days before our wedding with just our parents. Our wedding day was more important for us because our church pastor was marrying us. Adam’s younger brother read a scripture from the bible which ash meant a lot to us as a couple; Phillippians 4v6-7. We followed most traditions because I’m old-fashioned like that! One thing we didn’t do was have a wedding cake because the thought of having everyone stare at us whilst we cut a cake wasn’t something either of us was particularly desperate to do so we just didn’t. Having to do our first dance was enough to think about!

Inspiration & Styling

Our styling was very simple and minimal. We loved the look of The Fig House as it was, so all we felt to add was flowers and candles to create a very simple yet romantic feel. The colours we chose were navy, burgundy and blush pink with rose gold accents. I basically trusted entirely in our florist, Beth, and she was amazing! I wanted more wild bouquets, lots of greenery, berries and flowers and she got it exactly. She created matching bouquets for the bridesmaids and all of our bouquets were tied with ribbons that hung down from the bouquets. I was in love with our flowers. The tables were dressed in eucalyptus and other greenery, with rose gold and burgundy candles, which looked perfect. We had so many compliments on the flowers and decor.
