It's cliche but you really do have to just go with what you both want to do, without listening to lots of opinions. It's a day you plan and wait for, so you must make sure it's exactly how you want, from the dress to the desert. Just go with what is going to make you look back on the day with happiness.
We didn't start with a theme, but it accidentally ended up being heavily influenced by Mexico, through the colours and textures. We went to Mexico years ago and we fell in love with everything about it, as it reflects our personalities - bold, colourful, vibrant. I've also been a massive Frida Kahlo fan, and I actually used one of her paintings as a 'mood board' pic for my florist. I also chose to do my bridesmaids’ hair exactly how Frida Kahlo wore hers, by braiding fabric and pinning it to the tops of their heads, which I absolutely loved.
