What Made Our Day Unique

It was a celebration of us! Our venue didn't need much to make it an absolutely stunning place for a wedding, but we wanted to put our own stamp on it where we could. I designed all of our stationery, hand-painted the welcome signs, and even did all of my own flowers. My mum, my bridesmaids and I had fun the day before throwing together the bouquets, arranging the table displays and decorating the beautiful wooden triangle which my dad had handmade for us as a backdrop for our ceremony. My wonderfully talented bridesmaid Amy made our wedding cakes, which were just gorgeous! We wanted our wedding to be really relaxed and reflect who we are and what we love, and I think we achieved that. I love that so many of our family and friends helped bring it all together. We had an incredible weekend, full of love and laughter!

Inspiration & Styling

We both knew we wanted a very relaxed wedding which reflected the things that we love to do together - we spend lots of time outdoors and we love the mountains, being out on our bikes or off walking somewhere with our Cocker Spaniel in tow. We started to think about how we could incorporate some of these things into our day to make it truly personal to us, and our styling evolved from there. We roped in our friends to help along the way - whether that was collecting pine cones on walks in the Cotswolds, saving old bike wheels or most importantly, drinking plenty of gin to collect bottles for our table centrepieces!

Suppliers

I spent many long commutes to London scrolling through RMW and it was brilliant being able to take inspiration from so many real weddings. Seeing what other people had achieved gave me the confidence to try different things out for myself and to make the day exactly how we wanted it to be. Most importantly, it led me to find Virginia, my photographer - she'd photographed the incredible Cotswolds wedding of another beautiful bride wearing the Inca dress from Grace Loves Lace.. the very same dress I also had my eye on. I loved her authentic style and the depth of colour in her photos and so I got in touch!
