There’s something magical about Raag & Shringarika’s wedding. The day was a total extravaganza of colours, music, and joy that brought their families together. A fusion of ancient traditions and modern celebrations, it was a time when emotions ran high, dance floors stayed crowded, and love filled every corner. This couple gave us a glimpse of every celebration involved in their wedding! From the Haldi Ceremony to the final farewell after the traditional wedding ceremony, every aspect of these wedding celebrations carried meaning, creating a vibrant and love-filled atmosphere.
Tom Smith Photography did an amazing job at the wedding. His coverage was incredible and he made us feel at home while capturing us through the events.
Raag & Shringarika
Raag & Shringarika’s Haldi was a riot of sunshine and turmeric, as their loved ones applied the golden mixture to bless them with prosperity, protection from evil, and that radiant wedding glow. What started as a sacred ritual quickly turned into a lighthearted affair, with loved ones playfully smearing turmeric on each other. By the end, no one left the ceremony completely clean, but that was all part of the fun!
The Mehendi ceremony was an ode to intricate artistry and deep traditions. Shringarika’s hands were adorned with elaborate henna patterns, from her fingertips to her arms. Somewhere within those elegant swirls, Raag’s name was cleverly hidden. It’s a tradition that adds an element of playful anticipation. Meanwhile, guests got their own hands decorated, all while indulging in sweets, music, and lighthearted banter. It was an evening of patience (henna takes time to dry, after all) and excitement as the wedding day inched closer.
The Sangeet was a full-blown production! Families and friends took to the stage, bringing dazzling performances, choreographed performances, and a sprinkle of friendly competition. Raag & Shringarika, of course, stole the show with their electrifying performance, proving that love is best expressed in dance. The energy was infectious, the beats irresistible, and by the end of the night, everyone left with sore feet!
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for, the wedding. Under a beautifully decorated mandap, surrounded by the warmth of loved ones, Raag & Shringarika exchanged vows and promises of a lifetime together. The sacred fire bore witness to their union as they took the seven pheras, each step symbolising a commitment to love, friendship, and partnership. The atmosphere was a perfect blend of emotions. As the final vows were made, the celebrations erupted into cheers, showering the couple with blessings.
Our advice will be to just go with flow, do not stress over the small details and enjoy this process of being surrounded by family and friends to the most. The rest will just follow.
