Liverpool Micro Wedding

Trying to please everyone will never work. It's a big day for your family too so it's great to hear their thoughts, but it's also OK if you don't want to do it.
Aside from marrying my best friend, the mix of our families' cultures and traditions made the day incredibly special. From our guests' colourful African outfits and our own outfit change in the evening to the historic Liverpool church, we were married in. We also had elements of our time living in London with a Routemaster bus to ferry guests to the reception.
We wanted our wedding to reflect on ourselves: relaxed, bright and fun. We chose a green colour scheme based on the dress Felicia wore at the proposal but asked the bridesmaids to pick a shade and style that best suited them for their own dresses. We love plants and foliage so opted for that over traditional flower arrangements, with lots of gypsophilas to brighten up the space. Music is a big part of our relationship so we knew we wanted the dancefloor and song selection to be upbeat, adding to the lighthearted vibe of the day.
After all the planning, at some point, you'll hand over the reins and just let things run. Enjoy that time.
