Yes! Ashridge House is a sustainable venue and is accredited to ISO 14001, which ensures that we consistently find ways to reduce our carbon footprint, save energy and raise awareness. We choose to accredit to this certification because we want to show our level of commitment to protecting the environment.
Why is Ashridge different to other venues?
The history of Ashridge is very special, the site dates back to 1283, when it was a monastery founded by Edmund, Earl of Cornwall. In 1539 Ashridge became a royal residence to King Henry VIII and his children. The young Princess Elizabeth I lived at Ashridge, until she was arrested and sent to the Tower of London, luckily she was released unharmed!
