Can we customize your packages?
Yes I am flexible, and will be happy to adjust my package to suit you needs.
What equipment do you use?
I use Canon Cameras because I think they render skin tones in the most accurate and beautiful way. I also love the bloom and highlight roll off of Canon lenses. I also film everything in 4k. During the ceremony I usually put a discreet microphone on the groom to capture the vows audio. I carry at least 6 lapel microphones with me for the speeches. However I prefer to piggy back a recorder onto the venue microphone as that is very quick to do. I also use DJI drones because they are reliable and have very good image quality.
Do you have insurance?
I come to each wedding with 4 levels of insurance Public Liability Personal Indemnity Equipment insurance Drone Insurance
Do you charge a deposit when booking?
To secure your booking, I take a 10% non refundable deposit.
Do you do photography as well?
I started out as a photographer and the cameras I use are also photography cameras. Usually I offer either videography or photography, but I can offer hybrid days where I do videography but also photograph the group photos for instance. I am good friends with many excellent photographers, so get in touch to talk about a video and photography package. Booking us for photography and video package, will not only simplify things for you, but will also make sure that you have a seamless and well planned day.
We'd love drone footage of the venue?
I am a qualified and insured drone pilot and love filming venues. I like to open a wedding film with drone footage. I also like to get some footage of each venue on days where there are multiple venues. There are also quite a few drone that can be done with couples that look great in a wedding film, so if you'd like to see a few examples be sure to ask.
Can we choose our own music for the wedding film?
All music needs to be licenced so usually music is chosen from a dedicated music library like Artlist, or there is another site called Lickd that licenses commercial chart music for a reasonable price. Some commercial tracks may cost thousands to licence, so if you have any special requests, please check when booking.
Can you meet with us before the wedding?
I like to meet couples before the wedding, when its possible to do so. If its not possible to meet in person, I am happy to meet over a zoom or whatsapp video call!!
Which venues have you filmed at?
If you have a look under the films section on my website you will find a long list of all the venues I have filmed at.
Do you charge travel expenses?
I only charge travel for venues that are over 100 miles away.
Do you film same sex weddings?
Yes of course!
We'd like to make a booking now, what steps do we need to take?
Please get in contact through the contact form on my website. Once we have finalised which package you are going for, we just need the deposit to book the date!
We'd like groom prep and bridal prep filmed, can you arrange a second shooter?
Yes I can arrange a second shooter, who films in a similar style to me, so the cuts will flow seamlessly in the film .
I'd love lots of footage of my grandmother, but we don't want her to know she's being filmed, is that possible?
I bring long telephoto lenses with me, so I can film people from across a room without them knowing about.
Can you work alongside our photographer?
Absolutely! Firstly I am a photographer myself as well as a videographer, so understand when I need to keep out of the way. Also many photographers recommend me, as I do my best to make sure the photographer has a good day as well!!
Will you be in touch before our wedding day?
I usually get in touch a month before the wedding to run through the running order, timings and addresses of the venue. I also usually get in touch a week before the big day just to check that everything is going well.
