Inspiration

What could be more stunning than a wedding at Willow Grange Farm? How about a wedding at Willow Grange Farm with seven Recommended suppliers? With Recommended supplier, Emma Shaw Photography, capturing the day and the styling and planning being done by Recommended supplier, The Blissful Bride, you know it is going to be incredible. This shoot aimed to show that weddings could be stylish whilst still being sustainable and eco-conscious. They made specific choices to show this, like having a vegan wedding cake from Recommended supplier, The Iced Vegan!

Elegant and stylish sustainable wedding at Willow Grange Farm

We wanted to show that current trends and styles can be sustainable.

Willow Grange Farm

The shoot took place at Willow Grange Farm in Ely. They chose the venue not only because of the strong sustainable values of the owners but also because it was also local for all suppliers, which meant travel impact was minimal. Willow Grange Farm is a sustainable venue, farm and small holding with a strong sense of responsibility to maintain the biodiversity of the countryside around them. The farm is part of an environmental stewardship scheme which provides the best possible habitat for native plants, insects and animals. Decorated with stunning florals from Recommended supplier, Floral Roots, the venue looks incredible! As wedding decor can often be wasted, all props used were part of The Blissful Bride’s hire range.

Sustainable Decisions

They chose to enhance the metalwork in the barn with soft wedding drapes in a neutral palette and we're obsessed with the overall look! By using recyclable material and textiles destined for landfill, the signage, stationery and drapes are all sustainable. Plus, the wedding menu was all locally sourced food! It’s the little decisions that help your wedding become more sustainable. Also, the whole bridal party and bridal look are stunning! With pretty oyster-coloured bridesmaid dresses from Recommended supplier, Rewritten Bridesmaids, accessories from Recommended supplier, Victoria Louise, and bridal outfits from Recommended supplier, Ivy & Gold Bridal. A few suppliers involved in the day are also part of The Sustainable Wedding Alliance.

We are just obsessed with champagne towers! Pour it up!

With champagne towers being a major trend at the moment, we decided to create a champagne tower and spray shot using vegan and UK-made Prince Charmat English fizz instead of imported Champagne.
