I will begin with asking the obvious question, how many of you are Twilight fans?
Have you read all of the books?
And how many of you are intending on seeing Breaking Dawn on the 18th November? (for those of you who don’t know it’s the one with THE wedding in it….)
Well folks, if you are a dedicated lover of Stephenie Meyer and her tales of the immortal we have a huge treat for you….and even if you don’t go ga ga for vampires, we have a shoot captured by Chanelle Segerius-Bruce, produced and styled by Sonia at Want That Wedding and inspired by the Twilight series that has plenty of covetable pretty regardless.
And is it me or does the male model bear more than a slight resemblance to Robert Pattinson?
This is also the first time I have been tempted by a dark red lip. Usually reserved for my talons only, this winter I may have to embark on a love affair with a rouge-noir esque pout…..

Sonia From Want That Wedding: Hello lovely ladies ~ so why did I decide to create a {Twilight} Breaking Dawn styled shoot? Well, for me the story of Edward and Bella is a modern day love story for our time, a tale of two worlds colliding… a modern day girl meets, falls in love with and then marries a rather dreamy vampire who is locked forever in his 17 year old, turn of the century body! What perfect wedding inspiration for any future bride to be (!)

I took my inspiration from the twilight novels visualizing how Edward and Bella’s dream nuptials could translate into reality. Edward was turned into a vampire in 1918 so I wanted to reflect the Art Nouveau period, you can see this in the style of the wedding stationery and wedding cake created for the shoot.

For the flowers I envisaged lots of romantic white blooms and green foliage. I thought it would be a stunning contrast to complement the blue from Bella’s hair-piece and so incorporated the blue thistles into the flower arrangements, I believe this added to the overall beauty of these incredible wedding flowers.

In turn I was inspired to select a pretty, vintage duck egg blue as the dominant colour in the colour palette. I chose to mix in a spectrum of colours from the dark red of Bella’s lipstick and the redness of the apple, to the navy blue of Edwards’s suit. An array of subtle accent colours were also used which can be seen in the styling of the sweetheart table.

To complete the look I chose a dramatic Georgian Mansion as a backdrop for this Breaking Dawn styled shoot to add an old fashioned English twist. The result ~ I think you’ll agree is an incredibly romantic, intense and vintage inspired {Twilight} Breaking Dawn styled wedding shoot.

Jodie From Make-up By Jodie: Sonia’s brief to me for ‘Bella’s’ makeup was to be ethereal and very beautiful. I decided to keep her skin very flawless and fresh looking to reflect her age and beauty with a very beautiful haze of iridescence around the eyes and a subtle smoky definition. The lips and nails were appropiately a dark blood red.

For Bella’s skin I used a fine layer of Jemma Kidd Light As Air Foundation just to perfect and even out her skin tone. I wanted to create a very soft peachy flush through her cheeks so I used Jemma Kidd Blushwear in Paw Paw and Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow in Iced Gold to highlight.

For her eyes I used Estee Lauder Double Wear Gel Liner in Black to darken her inner eye then used a mix of Mac Pro Pigments on her lid to create a shimmery iridescence that would catch the light and make her look slightly other wordly. I added lots of Ardell Individual lashes to create a very fluttery but natual lash line.

Finally I finished the lips with Jemma Kidd Lipstick Duo in Boudicea and the classic Chanel Rouge Noir on her nails.

For details of the full Breaking Dawn shoot then pop on over to Want That Wedding right about now lovelies.
I have a sneaky feeling the actual W-day of Bella Swann and Edward Cullen won’t be too far away in terms of colour scheme and decor – what do you think?
And I think that backlit floral archway is one of the most romantic pieces of aisle pretty I have seen in a long while…. I’d like one for my living room at Christmas.
Big Eternal Love

How much makeup does the groom have one!?! he looks like a porceline doll!
Gracious, are those models even old enough to GET married? Stylish shoot though…
Love love love!
Sarah, have you seen the films? The vampires are all very pale and beautiful, they look kind of waxy and weird. I guess the makeup is a reflection of that.
That cake is absolutely stunning, and I love her dress.
I am a Twilight nut, I’ve read all the books, and have waited VERY impatiently for the latest movie instalment. Unfortunately no one will come and see it with me, so when I’m off work on Monday, I’m holding my head high, and going to the cinema alone!
I love Twilight! Can’t wait to see the film
I am a proper Twi-hard, read the books 3 or 4 times, midnight showings of the films and everything…yes I really am that cool
I read the title of this post and got so excited,I don’t picture it ANYTHING like the shoot though, except the beautiful archway. The makeup is a wee bit creepy!
I love it. Beautiful setting and I think the brides make up is gorgeous! I have been meaning to try some Jemma Kidd make up for a while and this has inspired me!
What a dress! I think both dresses blogged today have been up there with the nicest I have ever seen.
I am a massive fan of the books and some friends and I are going out for dinner and then to the cinema on Friday to properly geek out together!
Team Edward all the way
(ps yes I am an adult but I just bloody love the story!)
I like the make-up, in the film I think Edward looks a bit chalky (if that makes sense) where as in the book I imagine him a bit waxy…!
I do think Bellas dress will be similar tho. I am such a geek
Think my comment just got lost in blogspace so apologies if it pops up and this is a repeat but basically it went like this:
The brides make up is amazing and I am so treating myself to some Jemma Kidd make up. Been wanting to try for ages!
That dress is spectacular!
AND I LOVE TWILIGHT. There I said it. And Laura A, if your up North, a group of friends and I will be geeking out big time for a meal and cinema extraveganza!
MrsPtoBe – I am a re-reader too. Twilight and Harry Potter are my safe places when real life gets a bit too much!
Oh damn it DID reappear!
J – I am a huge HP fan too
Love the twilight saga, it’s my guilty pleasure I guess.
Plus huge crush on Edward, not Robert, Edward!
I can’t wait to see the wedding, I think she will be very understated yet beautiful with very dreamy floaty details.
I am hoping for some last minute inspiration from it!
God…their vows are gonna be sooooo spectacular in all their angsty love!
Dark red lip makes me look odd…dark red nails…I love!
xx
Claire, you’re right, they’re chalky in the film, not waxy! I just imagine them all to be beautiful china dolls!
And J, thank you, but I’m a southerner! Hope everyone who goes to see it has fun.
Also, meant to say, I picture Bella wearing a lovely flowy dress, not typically “bridal” – perhaps like the wedding dresses Monsoon do. Can’t wait!
Ah, I too have this guilty secret. In my case VERY secret as I read it on my Reader so no-one judges me! And I can’t find anyone to come to see it with me, sob. What’s more tragic than a fully grown woman going to see a Twilight film? A fully grown woman going to see a Twilight film on her ruddy own, that’s what. But I may have to.
That groom though – do his parents know he skipped school to do this shoot? The years leading up to GCSEs are very important, you know…
Love her dress and although I don’t have a dress selected yet – or pretty much any details – I know I’ll be sporting a red lip too! As will my intended if I don’t work out how to keep it on my own mush…
In the story Edward is stuck forever in a 17 year old body… hence the young casting for the “Groom”
Was great fun to shoot!
Peridot – yip his Dad was there keeping an eye on things!
Don’t worry – I was just joking! Bless him, he doesn’t look a day over 14!
Ok Twilight fans, if you are after inspiration check out Christina Perri A Thousand Years.
My friend played it to me and I fell in love, played it to my other half and told him I wanted to walk down the aisle to it….he got all teary eyed.
It was written for Breaking Dawn (naturally I did not tell him this!) and listening to the words I think it is what Bella will walk down the aisle to. Now I definitely can’t have it!
I love Twilight – really didn’t think I would but I love the films. As a huge book lover, ashamed to say I haven’t read the books!!!!! I am dying to see it mainly for the amazing Brazilian scenery as we are going to Brazil for our honeymoon too.
I have to say although I’m ‘Team Edward’ – who doesn’t want Bella to end up with her one true love (so romantic!) – I don’t actually get the whole Robert Pattinson thing. Is it just me??
Yes the soundrack is amazing! I am voting that their first dance will be to the Iron and Wine song Flightless Bird.
Put money on it!
Eeeek! x
Evening lovelies….
I am with @Claire on the make-up, I imagine him sheeny (from reading the books) but in the films he looks a bit matt (!) for me
It’s funny this male model does look young but then I guess 17 year old guys do look mighty young, I see some of these lads driving and I’m like “What are they doing driving a car?! they look 13!!”
@Alex (84) I love a dark red nail too – will be coming out for Xmas I think…

ha! Sonia, this is awesome – and you were right, he’s very pretty

I for one am not a Twilight fan as my devotion will remain with the Buffy vampires to the end. Nonetheless, this is a really cool idea for a shoot and nice that it wasn’t made all hammer-horror-esque. Subtle hints of gothic are great and good lord, that is some supplier list!
What an awesome idea!! Beautifully styled and beautifully shot. Gorgeous!!
A stunning shoot with lots of stealworthy ideas! What a great job by the whole team xx
Not a Twilight fan myself (seems a bit too much 15 year old wet dreamish for me!) but my friends who are Twihards get VERY protective over it. Is it me, or do they look like Barbie and Ken in one if the shots?! Might be my iPhone! Love the red talons!
Sonia is at the Breaking Dawn movie premiere tonight! I wonder who she has bumped into.
LOVE it! I am totally stealing the books as props and the font. Oh yes, and the flowers…
I actually NEED that lipstick!!
Wow, gorgeous shoot! That cake is dee-vine, wow!
Really love the lighting in these shots! and i love the details in all the images
it makes me want to become a twilight fan
I am a Twilight fruitcake, I am loopy over the books and the films, and I have posted a plea on my notice board at home asking for any other Twi-hards to come forward and go to the cinema together here in Hong Kong when it is released.
Unfortunately for me, it isn’t released in HK until December the fricking 22nd. I die!
I even (accidentally) downloaded New Moon in spanish. ‘Lunar Nueve’, and I still freaking loved it!
I love the shoot, especially the ‘Sucks on the beach’, haha classic! I couldn’t have come up with anything remotely as fabulous as this, so well done guys x
I’ve never read or seen Twilight, but think the stationery is fab, the cake is stunning and that floral archway looks gorgeous in Nonsuch! I love the back of the dress! The chess pieces as place card holders are fab too! x
Er… this is bloody fantastic. And thats not a vampireish play on words.

AMMMMMMAAAAAAAAZING. ‘NUF SAID.
I got to see it at 5 mins past midnight this morning and damn was it worth the 3 hours sleep ! It was the best of the 4 films (soon to be 5) and the funniest! It had gore and comedy and action and romance …Everything a girl needs!! Awesome film and a must see for all Twifans !!!! x
Fantastic shoot! The dress and cake are simple yet elegant and the floral arch looks stunning.
Love the styling on the shoot
