Natasha & James

This afternoon we’re off to destination-of-the-moment, Croatia, for a stunning wedding with the dreamiest Pronovias dress, found at Love Lust List recommended boutique, Mirror Mirror.

Natasha is one of those Brides who has dreamed of her big day all her life, so I’m thrilled that she had ‘the ONE’ moment with her dress. Those clever Mirror Mirror ladies recommended the gorgeous belt she’s wearing to go with it and doesn’t she look perfect?! The hair and veil combination too?? SWOON.

Enjoy the sunshine and blue skies and I apologise in advance if this makes you want to immediately book flights to Croatia…

The Dress

Natasha The Bride: I had dreamed about my wedding dress since I was 6 years old when I put lace curtains over my face and made my Dad walk next to me. I always thought I knew what dress I wanted until I started looking and trying them on…people kept telling me “you just know when you’ve found the one” and that is exactly what happened! The first time I tried on my beautiful Pronovias dress I felt like a princess and I turned around to find my Mum in tears. I shouted out “this is the one” with the biggest smile on my face. The brilliant team at Mirror Mirror, Angel asked me if I’d like to try a belt on with it and when I did I absolutely loved it.

The Shoes

I never wanted classic white shoes like everybody else. I knew in my head exactly what I wanted. I visited Jimmy Choo on the first day of shoe shopping and found my dream sandals in around 10 seconds. They were simple and beautiful with a hint of glitter – the dream shoes.

The Groom

My hubby and his best man Tony went suit shopping together and wore matching outfits on the day. Like me he wanted something a little different. His slim fit Hugo Boss suit, together with his Prada shoes went perfectly with his cream tie and braces. He looked very cool and very dapper.

The Bridesmaids

I had my big sis and two best friends as Bridesmaids and they looked totally gorgeous on the day. They wore stunning baby pink Coast maxi dresses that had a little sparkly belt which matched my dress perfectly. They wore their hair in soft curls with some baby breath on the side.

The Page Boys

Our darling page boys were my baby nephews Otis and Theodore and they absolutely melted my heart on the day. Not only did they look super-cute in pink dickie bows and cool converse, they hugged me for no reason on the day and said “Aunty Natasha, you look beautiful”

The Venue

We both knew we wanted to get married by the sea, somewhere beautiful and hot and that’s when we visited Croatia and fell in love with both the ceremony and the reception venue. The old monastery had something so special about it and we knew how perfect it was for our big day. The reception was held in a breath-taking restaurant Zori on another island which meant us and our guests would all travel over by boat which absolutely made our day.

The Colour Scheme

My husband and I live and dream about travelling so we knew that would definitely be our theme, together with baby breath flowers and soft pink to match our bridesmaids. We loved a quote by Walt Whitman which made our invite and our wedding favours. “Will you come travel with me? Shall we stick by each other as long as we live” We named each of our tables from a special place that we had visited. The head table was called Ca Maria Della Salute after our engagement in Venice. A big thank you to Celebration Studios that made all of our wedding stationery perfect.

Readings & Entertainment

We decided to have a string quartet for our ceremony and as I walked in and heard Desree, ‘Kissing You’ playing my heart skipped a beat. We also had a very close friend do a reading called “On your wedding day” which was simple but so stunning.

The Photographer

The amazing photographer was recommended to us by our wedding planner and did a fantastic job on our photos. We are so thankful to them for capturing every moment so beautifully and when the day ends all you have is your photos and video. It’s such an important part of the day and we couldn’t recommend Nikola and Martina enough.

The Wedding Planner

Our lovely wedding planners Milda and Mario (Dalmatia Events) were the absolute dream team, not only did they help me with every part of the day but they were there through my nerves and worries over the year of planning and made sure we had the most wonderful day. We can’t thank them enough for everything.
