Lauren & Alan married in a treehouse! That’s correct. You did read that right. Lauren & Alan said ‘I do!’ in Alnwick Treehouse in Newcastle surrounded by their loved ones. The couple opted for an autumnal wedding style to match the rustic and cosy natural vibes of the venue. I am an Instagram fanatic! It was great having access to so many wonderful local suppliers which I might not have discovered otherwise. I used Instagram a bit like Pinterest by creating different saved photo albums in the Instagram app. My bridesmaids and I would even have our own shared group to share any wedding/hen inspo!
Alnwick Treehouse
On the outskirts of woodland in the North East of England is Alnwick Treehouse. The garden is romantic, peaceful and mesmerising but the treehouse stole the show! It is, after all, the largest treehouse in the world. Lauren & Alan's wedding was warm, romantic, and fun. The couple wanted the day to feel like a warm hug in autumn. Think of celebrating with your loved ones, a glass of champagne in your hand, with a log fire roaring nearby. They wanted to feel the romance through the cosy candlelight and twinkling lights. The overall inspiration was a combination of the enchanted nature of Alnwick Treehouse and the simplistic beauty of work by talented photographer, Joshua Woodland. A fun fact...the treehouse actually won the Loo of the Year award!
Family Matters
On Lauren & Alan's wedding day, they didn't just become husband and wife. Lauren also became a stepmum too! It was one of the most magical parts of the day having her new stepson, Max, play a vital part in the wedding party. He was the best man! He took full responsibility for organising the stag do, greeting guests, and delivering an epic best man speech. Looking around and seeing the combination of belly laughs and emotional tears was so most amazing part of their day. Lauren's grandad was a big Elvis fan, so the couple wanted to incorporate him into the day. Lauren walked down the aisle to the Haley Reinhard cover of ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’. There was not a dry eye in the house. It’s such a beautiful version of a classic Elvis love song.
