Oh my. Oh my. Strap yourselves in for this one because it’s a good’un! Oxana’s celestial wedding dress will have you dreaming of the stars (and how practical the detachable skirt is!) This beautiful couple were married in the heart of Mallorca, surrounded by sunshine, pampas grass and shades of dusty blue. We absolutely love the warm glow exuding throughout this day, and the styling, which was inspired by the venue itself. We didn’t want a conventional wedding, so my dress wasn’t white. We didn’t do a lot of traditional things, it was all done our way. The venue was absolutely stunning. There was incredible food, the floral decor was out of this world, and our guests came dressed to impress!
VIBE
Inspiration was taken from the beauty of the venue itself! We chose the tablescape first, once this was done, we selected the colours for suits, dresses and dress code for the guests. Our florist had full creative freedom to do anything he thought would work best, but showed him our colour scheme. We also asked to incorporate our favourite flowers, like proteas, (which is the national flower of South Africa), and pampas grass.
ADVICE
Relax - nothing has to be perfect! It’s going to be an amazing day no matter what. Give creative freedom to your suppliers. Your make-up artist will know how to make you look stunning, your photographer knows how to capture a beautiful moment, you florist knows what flowers compliment each other, and your wedding coordinator is on top of everything! Get to know your celebrant better for a very personal ceremony! Our celebrant Glynis was truly amazing - we got to meet her at the venue and spend a bit of time with her.
Pampas grass installations… they just never fail to impress!
Our florist Gonsalo is an absolute genius! He is a true artist and he delivered the most beautiful floral decorations I have ever seen in my life! All the guests were completely blown away too. It was very hard to part with my flowers, so I dried my bouquet and have it displayed in my flat.
