Inspiration

Wild by name, wild by nature: this greenery wedding celebrates wild woodlands - and our couple's newlywed name - in the most spectacular style. Wildflowers, foliage and wooden props beautify the barn, whilst the bridal party are transformed into "woodland fairies" with flower crowns, unstructured bouquets and flowing locks. With plenty of DIY décor, as well as talented friends adding those all-important personal touches, we're pretty wild (ahem) about this one.

What Made Our Day Unique

We ended up getting married on the only sunny Thursday in April 2018 after all that bizarre snow! We were married at RMW recommended Cripps Barn in the Cotswolds, which is the most gorgeous venue ever with food to absolutely die for. My bandmates, Sophie and Anna, played the harp and sang me down the aisle. They were then joined by my dad and Liam’s uncle on bass and guitar to sing Paolo Nutini’s ‘Someone Like You’ during the signing of the register. It was so special having them play for us. Our day was full of love, laughter, dancing and hell of a lot of drinking. Our lot know how to party!

Kristy & Liam

Greenery Wedding

With the best newlywed name - Mr and Mrs Wild - there was only ever one theme that was going to work for Kristy & Liam's wedding: nature. Our couple embraced everything green, making the most of the wild surroundings for some stunning couple's shots, whilst also bringing the outside in. The venue drips with wildflowers and foliage; the split three-tier semi-naked cake - made by a talented friend - is displayed on tree stumps, and the seating plan - which cleverly incorporates the word 'wild' into every table name! - was made from old driftwood by the bride's dad. And of course, there's also those gorgeous flower crowns and unstructured bouquets, alongside Kristy's exquisite Kate Halfpenny 'Iris' dress. All completely dreamy.

Favourite Moment Of Our Day

I couldn’t pick a favourite moment as the whole day was perfect in my eyes! But one that will definitely stay with me was the speeches. The whole room was full of love, everyone was laughing and crying, and I just remember looking around and thinking, “Wow! All of our favourite people are here celebrating this moment with us”. Hearing your loved ones speak about you in a way you might never have before was truly special.

Kristy & Liam

Choosing a theme, colour scheme and/or your wedding décor is one of the most exciting parts of the wedding planning journey - but if you don't have an obvious starting point like Kristy & Liam, it can be somewhat stressful. But never fear! Our handpicked supplier directory, The List, will introduce you to some of the best stylists and florists in the business, who will be able to guide you, inspire you and deliver your vision. Take it from Kristy herself, who says, "I looked at RMW so much for inspiration and found so many ideas from The List. The variety of suppliers to choose from is amazing!"
