For the evening, you’ll be able to bring along a maximum of 200 guests to your reception. There are plenty of local hotels available for guests to stay over or for the weekend. Ghyll Barn is also home to a campsite with Bell Tents. The campsite spot is in a meadow in the Eden Valley. As your guests head back to their tents they’ll be welcomed by cows and horses with a pub 10 minutes away for a much-needed lunch the next day!

Askham Hall 

Askham Hall is a Grade I country house wedding venue located in a quaint village in an enchanting corner of the Lake District. We are in love with this venue! Maybe because this venue is all about having Your Day, Your Way just like us! That’s why they offer exclusive use of all 18 acres, 18 rooms, three grand dining rooms, a medieval hall, and a rustic Grade II listed Bank Barn. Askham Hall is entirely dedicated to celebrating your love story, and their award-winning wine list certainly helps…and, of course, their Michelin-star restaurant. Licensed for civil ceremonies, you can marry in the gardens or the Bank Barn. But if you’d prefer a traditional church ceremony, take a short walk into the village to find pretty churches. Holesfoot

Holesfoot is a Grade II listed 19th-century Manor House wedding venue in Cumbria, situated in the spectacular Eden Valley countryside. This venue is found within 20 acres of stunning private grounds and gardens including a lake, meadows, and woodland. You’re surrounded by the best of the British countryside here. On the big day, couples can choose from three beautiful locations to tie the knot before celebratory drinks, music and food on the front lawn. Or, you can choose from one of the reception rooms in the Georgian-meets-Victorian manor house, in one of the gardens or the woodlands. Holesfoot has a ceremony and dinner capacity of 120 and a standing capacity of 160. Children and pets are welcome, so the venue can really feel like your home away from home for the day. Holesfoot can also sleep 51 in its on-site accommodation, so the party can continue late into the night.

Well, besides the luxurious views, the hotel offers either full exclusive use with a capacity of 60-day guests and 110 evening guests or a special elopement package just for you and your 2 witnesses. There are plenty of stunning indoor and outdoor spaces for you to host each part of your wedding day. With 28 bedrooms in the house alone and a late license for 1 am, you can also make your wedding a full-on party and properly celebrate your union. This hotel wedding venue also has a few unique things…including a toastmaster service and a private jetty.
