Bride in Rebecca Vallance dress with bow detail at summer wedding in Harrogate.

The surprise band marching through the streets of Harrogate brought happiness to the whole town, and it kept the feeling of the ceremony going. It's a friendly place and people were cheering and beeping as we drove through the town in the vintage Triumph!

STYLE

Alexandra knew she wanted a modern bridal look from the start. Despite the fact she had to get everything online due to the pandemic, she still put together a stunning bridal look with a Rebecca Vallance dress we can't stop looking at. That bow!? No wonder people were cheering... Also, big shout out to her gorgeous handmade flat fifteen bag which made a special appearance down the aisle. Take notes everyone, having a bridal bouquet and a bridal bag is how you do modern bride, and do it well. No pockets necessary.

FOOD

If you're hungry, we recommend grabbing a snack before you read this bit. Because oh wow did Alexandra and Vincent go to town with their bespoke wedding menu. After having a meeting with Chef Tom about what they wanted, they settled on a family style sharing menu for their big day. We're talking charcuterie, pate, chutneys and baked Camembert garnished with fresh figs and herbs. And that was just to start... followed by steaks, chimichurri veg and a trio of desserts to finish. Oh, and of course, an evening cheese board. Yep, that's it. Second dinner is on the cards today...

THE DAY

An intimate ceremony started the day, with a witty registrar and an incredible confetti exit that got the good vibes going. After that the New York Brass Band appeared and followed them as they strode through Harrogate. Alexandra danced in her Rebecca Vallance Dress, Vincent beamed in his summer suit and the happiness was contagious. They followed this with a quick spin in the Triumph and made it to the Hotel du Vin for their summer courtyard reception. From the colourful blooms to the beautiful candles, Alexandra surpassed herself on the table arrangements for their evening wedding breakfast. Truly a day to remember!

You heard it here first, bows are a back. The bigger the better! Alexandra's Rebecca Vallance dress is just paving the way...
