Inspiration

Pip & James married at the wonderful Sefton Park Palm House wedding venue. The wedding had a bright citrus and tropical colour scheme with a relaxed, informal and fun vibe to add the destination wedding feeling that the couple originally wanted. Pip wore sleek and satin bridal separates with her bridal party in floral mismatched bridesmaid dresses! Wanting a photographer that could capture this couple’s bright and vibrant love, Pip & James found Recommended supplier, Cassandra Lane Photography. The couple also got their equally colourful confetti from Recommended supplier, Flutter, Darlings!

Defining a vision was really key for us. Pip had such a clear idea of what the wedding should look like, she built a physical mood book which helped us choose our suppliers and create our big day. James managed the budget, bookings and logistics. It was a match made in heaven! We ended up with such a lovely set of people and businesses to make our day perfect, exactly as we had imagined it!

Sefton Park Palm House Wedding

Pip & James both originally wanted to marry aboard, but it didn't work out due to travel costs and covid. Enter the stunning Sefton Park Palm House wedding venue! The venue set the total vibe of the wedding, which was bright, colourful, fun and breezy. Sefton Park Palm House was the key to this day with the amazing foliage and flowers already at the venue, so the couple could just build around it. Pip wanted lots of bright oranges, yellows and pink flowers with DIY decor for a fun citrus colour scheme. For the wedding planning, Pip & James started with the venue and fit the suppliers around it. Pip wore a modern two-piece and cathedral-length veil and the bridesmaids wore mismatched floral bridesmaid dresses in yellow, pink and orange.

Wedding Music

Pip & James have been to some amazing weddings throughout their lives and have been so inspired by how personalised and individual weddings can be. They both knew a traditional wedding wasn't for them and wanted to break a few rules with their day! It was just a massive celebration of love! Music was a key priority for the couple as they LOVE to dance. They booked a jazz band with some chilled vibes for the daytime and a DJ to play all the Sean Paul for the reception. Pip & James walked back up the aisle together to 'Love at First Sight' by Kylie Minogue, which was a song from when they first met at a 17th birthday party! This day was the perfect representation of the couple with unique fast food table names and cutouts of their pet cats!

Don't underestimate the importance of your music choices!

Our favourite moment was Pip coming down the aisle to 'I'm Always Here' from Baywatch, which started the day on the perfect note. From there, the ceremony was so personal and special. The readings during the ceremony from our friends and the speeches at the reception were incredible. Getting everyone involved in our first dance was beautiful, and the firework display was the perfect way to end the day!
