Day one was an intimate affair at Fort Henry with only immediate family and friends, plus the couples adorable dog Alfie, and day two was party day in a local village hall, prepped and preened by family and friends with lots of DIY decor and details. The afternoon kicked off with Gin cocktails, craft beers, fish and chips and ice cream cones, and culminated with a ceilidh band. Capturing all the laid back vibes and fun were photographer friends The George’s.
When Kesri and Leesha approached us back in May 2019 to feature their gorgeous Black Brides Matter inspiration shoot we were absolutely over the moon and couldn’t wait to support them. We strive to share as many diverse weddings as we possibly can on Rock My Wedding and so the shoot at The Barn At Drovers was another way for us to do that and spread the message the ladies so eloquently make about the industry needing to better represent minorities. In their words “We cannot dream of a gorgeous wedding no matter the theme, boho/contemporary/elegant/wild/outdoor/romantic wedding if we cannot see ourselves reflected in them.”
We know that their vision is going to have a huge impact on so many people’s wedding planning journeys. Not only are they delivering this powerful message they have done a sterling job at showing us some super sexy inspiration too. WOW ladies, just wow.
Weddings like this should come with a warning of ‘G’ for utterly gorgeous. Not only are our newlyweds absolutely stunning, but also every aesthetic detail of their day is divine: from the venue to the flowers to the semi-naked wedding cake to the peg board table plan. Shall I go on swooning? This celebration is filled with emotion and happiness – and if it doesn’t have you reaching for a hanky it will definitely have you drooling over the sweet bar. Mm mmm!
This gorgeous pair combined their English and French heritage for this seriously stylish rooftop wedding at Ace Hotel, Shoreditch. Anne looks stunning in Catherine Deane (who are offering incredible Black Friday savings on some of their best sellers BTW), and Lionel looks SO dapper in a light grey bespoke suit by Jonas & Cie, who just happen to be tailors to the French president. This is a feel-good wedding through and through, just full of fun. Enjoy lovely ones!
If you’re planning on having a tipi wedding, then there’s nothing more useful than seeing these gorgeous structures in the flesh before your big day. To celebrate the launch of their new Bristol base, World Inspired Tents are holding an open weekend in September (22nd&23rd) so that you can view the tipis in all their glory, just like here for this pretty Spring inspired wedding shoot.
The weekend will give you the opportunity to speak to their highly experienced team, work out how big a structure you’ll need and how much furniture to hire, and you can look at those lovely extra special touches like lighting or a cosy fire pit. To register your interest please email the World Inspired Tents team. And for now, let’s lose ourselves in this gorgeous tipi inspiration…
Not only have Fringe and Fray got an awesome name for their Macramé business, but they’ve also got an incredible talent for styling too.
This wonderful bohemian inspiration mixes the free spirit of the seventies with tropical leaves and vintage bridal wear all in a rustic setting. Proving you truly can have a day your way.
Set in the gorgeous Horniman Conservatory with eucalyptus, ferns and all manor of gorgeous foliage framing the aisle and altar, not to mention making up the majority of the bouquets, along with some protea stems for an added pop of colour.
The whole wedding is a botanical dream, and will have you swooning from start to finish.
