How To Host A Virtual Wedding

What Made Our Day Unique
We love the fact that it is a virtual Wedding in the rain. Even though our parents couldn’t make it because of the pandemic, it is very moving to witness our friends and families getting drenched to help with the wedding setup and logistics. It is a surreal feeling to exchange our vows in that atmosphere, knowing hundreds of people are watching our humble wedding LIVE, and at the same time, acknowledging that the few people in the location sacrificed their comfort to make sure we are having the best day in our lives. We will never trade this with anything else.
Inspiration & Styling
We initially wanted a minimalist vibe, we planned to stand in front of the Arch and have the Vaucluse bay as the backdrop. But because of the rain, we have to move indoor (which actually is a garage, a heritage garage I might add). We were so lucky the Arch fits inside and they actually looked great together with the wall. It turns the vibe into a warm, rustic kind of look and feels. Our parents from the other parts of the globe didn't know this, they thought it's the part of the plan and it was the vibe we are going for. "Beautiful rustic decor' they said. We both laughed, told them what it is and they were quite surprised. We loved people's reaction when we tell this particular story out of our many wedding stories.
Advice
So grateful for all the suppliers and stylists who helped us on the day. From installations to photography to makeup, we honestly couldn't do it without the people! So a big cheers to the people who were willing to dance in the rain with us.
