If planning a lockdown wedding, try not to get too disheartened. Work with what you can and OWN IT!
The intimacy was beautiful. We actually feel incredibly lucky we were given this opportunity to celebrate and spend the day with just our immediate families in our home town. It was so lovely to have photographs in our home and on our local streets. People were stopping to watch, shouting their congratulations to us and complimenting us on our outfits - we really felt like film stars. I think that due to the current situation it was a novelty for people to see a newlywed couple and everyone made extra effort to try and make our day extra special and memorable.
We just wanted our families to have a lovely day with none of the worries or stresses that a full-blown wedding normally brings. There was no colour scheme but it just so happened that everyone's outfits worked really well together and I was able to buy everyone colour- coordinated silk facemasks from Passion for PPE on Etsy. Due to lockdown, it was the first time we had seen each other in a long time and we wanted to make the day extra memorable and for everyone to enjoy themselves.
Joanne, our Photographer, was AMAZING! She makes you feel so comfortable and at ease and her photos are something else. I will be forever grateful to her for making our day so special. Richard Smith made the experience of creating/fitting Joe's suit so special and was most definitely worth it!
It may not be the day you dreamt of but make it the day you never knew you always wanted.
