For gay men of our age (let's just say we’re millennials), we didn't grow up knowing that marriage would be open to us. Even in our 20s, there was still a fight for acceptance and legalisation of gay marriage taking place. So on our wedding day, we didn't take a moment for granted.

The best advice that we got before our wedding was to make decisions and create the day and the vibe that WE wanted as a couple and that would reflect us. Try not to worry about trends, prevailing styles, or what you see on Pinterest or anywhere else. Talk to each other about how you want the day to look and feel and use that as your North Star for every decision about vendors, styling, look, food, drink, etc.
