A Hackney wedding inspired by retro Hong Kong cafés, featuring a traditional red and green colour palette, Chinese banquet, milk tea and meaningful cultural details.
Our inspiration for the day was to create a retro Hong Kong vibe. We love the aesthetics of Hong Kong cafés, especially their red and green colour palette, which brings a string sense of nostalgia for us, so we wanted to reflect this in our wedding. Sharing our culture with our friends made the whole day feel so special!
Using Pinterest was a huge help in finding inspiration for visuals. There’s such a variety of suppliers out there, so take your time exploring - there’s definitely someone who can bring your vision to life. We were lucky to have friends and family help with the final touches, so it’s always worth being open to support.
