If you’re doing a ‘DIY’ wedding, when crafting, making or designing, make it fun. We turned candle painting into date nights while choosing wedding wines. It just made it something to look forward to. It was more than a chore and made the planning an experience rather than just something to get through.
I think a special moment was when we went over and took photos on the field, and could see the wedding from a distance, with everyone enjoying, and we could see what we created. It was an amazing sense of achievement. Also, everyone singing along with our first dance song and dancing was so special.
