What's Your Wedding Videography Style?

I think a lot of people genuinely forget about the sounds. The laughter during the speeches. The string quartet as you walked in. The collective exhale when you said yes. On your wedding day, you are completely absorbed — meeting guests, remembering your vows, keeping your veil in place, preparing for your speech. You're living it, which means you're also missing parts of it. A wedding film lets you relive the whole day, and in a lot of cases, lets you see and hear things you didn't even notice at the time. That moment where your mums are hugging it out after the ceremony. The look on your best man's face before he stood up to speak. It's all there. You just weren't able to catch it all in the moment — but we were.

Photos are wonderful, and a great photographer is irreplaceable, but a photo is a single frame, a held breath, a moment frozen in time. It can't tell you what song was playing, or the way the room erupted when your best man delivered that line, or how your partner's voice sounded when they said their vows. Those things live in the air, not in an image.

Watch as many films as you can find; full feature films, not just trailers. Then get on a call. Notice how many questions they ask. Each couple is different and the right collaboration should feel exciting; like embarking on something new together. When you know, you know.
