Inspiration

Where do we start with this Badgers Holt wedding? Ellie & James had an intimate church ceremony and then headed to Badgers Holt in Dartmoor for a stunning marquee reception. This couple found each other through their faith and from the love shining through these pictures taken by Recommended supplier, Grace Elizabeth, it’s clear they’re meant to be! Opting for a rural and rustic theme, this wedding is full of DIY and even more daisies!

Ensure you have the things that are important to you at the wedding. If there are things that you really desire for the wedding, whether it be daisies or a particular dress, date or colour, push for those things to be a part of your day. If there are things that you're more relaxed about, don't stress too much about those things. Try to plan, create, and spend time with family and friends when doing any wedding projects for some extra fun.

Badgers Holt

The location for both Ellie & James' church ceremony and wedding reception at Badgers Holt was beautiful. To be able to have a marquee by the river surrounded by all of their favourite people in one place made Ellie & James feel special, loved, and so grateful. All of their chosen suppliers and family worked incredibly hard to make sure the day ran smoothly and could be everything that the couple had dreamed of throughout the planning process. Badgers Holt wedding venue was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure Ellie & James had access to as much of the venue as they liked, including THAT beautiful field covered in daisies. Stunning!

DIY Details & Daisies

Ellie & James had plenty of wonderful DIY projects throughout their day that some of their creative friends and family made. From the signagefloral arrangements, and place settings. The couple were so happy to have their loved ones play such a key part in their day. All the inspiration for their day came from Pinterest. They chose their colour schemes and main wedding theme with a rural and natural flair to match the Badgers Holt wedding venue on the moors and the couple's love of the countryside. Ellie & James wanted it to feel wild and rustic whilst giving people a memorable day that was structured and relaxed. They had daisies galore!

Ellie made sure to have an abundance of something blue with blue bridesmaid dresses, blue flowers, and blue decor!

We wanted to mention Grace Elizabeth, our photographer, who was so helpful and relaxed the whole way through the planning process and the day itself. Our wedding photos capture so much joy and are edited to be natural, bright, and give a truly reminiscent picture of the whole day. We did a lot of research into each supplier to try and find exactly what we wanted. Grace was a dungaree-wearing, professional and fun person to work with and worked well alongside Nichola, our videographer, to capture all of our precious moments throughout the day.

Ellie & James

Ellie & James used the tones from the blue bridesmaid dresses all throughout their day. They've created such a timeless wedding colour palette! The couple are over the moon with their wedding photographer and final photos. Choosing your wedding photographer is such an important part of wedding planning because all you'll have left of the day are your photos, videos, and memories!
