Lace Bardot Wedding Dress for an Industrial Wedding at The West Mill in Derbyshire

We are now christening Monday’s as emotional day, as we share with you another heart-achingly beautiful wedding. Bride Charlie wows us in a lace Bardot wedding dress, which suits her. Down. To. The. Ground. Plus there are tears, love and fun galore at this gorgeous West Mill industrial wedding full of DIY copper centrepieces and details.

The West Mill already has a great vibe that we knew suited us, and our initial thoughts for the styling. We liked the industrial feel and loved The West Mill so knew we didn’t need much styling but used this as a starting point. We really wanted our day to be unique to us and show our personalities, so we tried to do a lot of it ourselves. As Matt is a Gas engineer we wanted to create the table numbers and seating plan out of copper pipe, we tied this together with copper lanterns, glass lightbulbs filled with copper lights and candles for centrepieces. I also made the menus, seating plan and table plan and the homemade fudge favours.” – Charlie & Matt

Bardot Wedding Dress

The emotion captured by Pear & Bear Photography as bride Charlie walks down the aisle looking absolutely stunning in her Pronovias Bardot wedding dress are off the chart adorable. I defy you not to get a lump in your throat as Groom Matt is overcome with emotion. Plus those adorable lakeside walks where he helps her with her twirling veil and long train. Oh my. Booking a photographer that blends in with your family and friends and instantly makes you feel at ease will ensure you have moments to treasure forever.

“There are so many moments that we will cherish from the day and so hard to chose one favourite. The ceremony was very emotional, there were tears shared between me and my Dad, my Maid of Honour cried whilst walking down the aisle before me, and as soon as Matt and I saw each other we couldn’t keep it together! I didn’t expect Matt to be so emotional but it was so overwhelming, and only the start of the best day.” – Charlie & Matt

A close friend of bride Charlie gave her some advice before the big day; she said, once you are seated at your wedding breakfast, take that moment in, as there are not many opportunities that you will have all the people you love, together in one room. Such amazing words of wisdom we just had to share too. If you need further advice about planning your big day, search our planning and wedding ideas archives for lots more tips.
