Inspiration

Isabella & Jake married at Hope Farm in Dorset with a funky retro 70s vibe that we are just so in love with! To say we’re impressed is an understatement! Isabella DIY’d all the signage, and some of the food, and used secondhand vinyl and cassettes for the table plans and place names. Isabella & Jake met when they were 11 and have been official since they were 14, so this day was a big celebration of love for these childhood sweethearts. The couple booked their wedding with 9 months to plan. Most suppliers were already booked for the wedding date! Isabella & Jake chose local businesses and DIY to ensure their day could happen how they envisioned. Recommended Supplier, Dani Bowen Photography, captured the vibe of this whole day to perfection.

Where possible, we chose smaller independent suppliers with the intention of supporting locally and with sustainability in mind.

Hope Farm Dorset

Isabella & Jake described their Hope Farm in Dorset wedding day as a relaxed romance with a 70s retro twist! They
wanted it to be as bright and colourful as possible. The couple included lots of little details throughout to bring in their wedding theme. Isabella wore a balloon-sleeved Watters wedding dress, the bridesmaids had subtle beehive hairstyles, and the groom and groomsmen wore black velvet tuxedos. For decor, there were disco balls on the tables, cassettes as place names, an epic vinyl table plan, AND vintage postcards as the guest book. All decor was DIY'd and handmade by the bride! The signage and the personalised charcuterie cups (as an alternative to canapés) were all made by Isabella. It was important for the couple to value sustainability. They used secondhand vinyls and cassettes for table plans and place names. Almost all of the suppliers for this day were local businesses within the Dorset/Hampshire region. Isabella & Jake also had an untraditional speech format. The father of the bride did more of a roast than a traditional loving speech, the mother of the groom did a speech, and the couple did a joint speech.

A sweetheart table for the high school sweethearts! This day is perfection!

We chose to do a joint wedding speech and thank everyone. It was a really special moment to be able to do a toast to everyone that has been a part of our journey. We had a sweetheart table, which meant we could soak it all in with a great view of all our guests.
